Potassiman

America's favorite super hero is here...potassiman! Also known as potassiyum. I bring health to everyone. From children to old ladies, I make food taste good. There is really only one bad thing about me. Even though I am a metal,  I'm pretty soft. Not only in personality but in appereance. My enemies can quickly cut me with a knife, and there's not much I can do about it. It's not my fault I want to give everyone a taste of what I can do by making food delicious. One food I am found in is bananas. I am also used for things such as iodide pills.  I am vital to human needs and I can't help but share the love, even to the bad guys. But I do have a way to fix it.
I am a silvery- white color and weigh about 39.10 grams and of course I'm a solid! My electronegativity is .8. I have a low ionization and electron affinity level.

If I am dropped in water, I burst into flames. Usually if an enemy approaches I am find water to jump into. I scare off the bad guys with these flames. Here is a picture of me transforming.
I was discovered by Sir Humphry Davy in 1806. So you could say I've been here for a while. Before I was realized as a super hero I was mixed with Carbonate and animal fat to make soap. Gross! I'll never go back to those days. I was the isolated and electrolyzed me with some dried potassium hydroxide. I bursted through the potash. I guess you could say I was a natural born hero.

History of the Periodic Table

The history of the period table has always been a challenging thing for scientists. It all started with 55 elements and the question was, how did all the elements fit together? Starting with  Dalton, he was the first scientist who really focused on the periodic table. He came up with the idea that everything was made up of atoms and all atoms have a different weight. Next came Bezalius. He wanted to put the elements in a certain order. He became a very elite glass blower to try to figure out the weight of every element. By doing this he discovererd the element, silicone. From this, the scientist Doberiener discovered that all elements have different reactions. These elements come in families called "triads." By this point there were 63 elements but they had no order. 10 weeks after finally arriving to St. Petersburg Medeleevs mom died. Before she passed away, he told him to always focus on his science and work. Because of this he came up with the idea of the periodic table and locked himself in his study for 3 days and night thinking of how it would be arranged. Sort of like "chemical sollitare" Cannitaro believed that certain elements held key weights as well. The scientist Newlands came up with the theory that ideas seemed to repeat. He called this the law of octives but this idea was quickly shot down by the chemistry convention, they all came to the conclusion that it was idiodic. Lastly Mosley arranged the period table by atomic numbers. These different ways of the periodc table were called the law of periodicity.
Option 1: I find Dalton the most interesting chemist becasue of how dedicated he was. All of the scientists were very dedicated but Dalton was brilliant. At age 12 he set up a school and helped teach children. I could never imagine teaching anyone at that young of age. Something that I also found very interesting was how passionate he was about the weather. He kept a journal for many years about how the weather was every day. Because of this dedication, it shows how much he was able to accomplish and keep doing whatever without anyone telling him different.
